Who We Are

I've known since my junior year of high school that I wanted to become a physical therapist. In 2018, I hit a tree while skiing in Colorado. I suffered significant ligamentous injury to my left knee. Following a lot of rehabilitation, I returned to my normal life activities with a new found love for physical therapy. However, I had multiple injuries that were not addressed during physical therapy due to limitations of my insurance policies on what treatments were covered. My knee got better, but my hips were still stiff and my left knee and hip muscles were still significantly weaker than my right side. I was not satisfied and was fearful of reinjuring myself and getting a fast pass to an early total knee replacement. After graduating from PT school, I learned that I eventually wanted to shift how physical therapy was delivered. The level of care in physical therapy should not be linked to the individual's specific insurance coverage. After 2 years of being a physical therapist, I decided to create Ascension Physical Therapy LLC for individuals who want more than insurance based physical therapy can offer.
